Albany, OR (April 26, 2022) – A 12-year-old girl was injured in a hit-and-run accident on Monday in Albany. The crash happened at a roundabout near Timber Ridge School.
Police say that the girl was walking to meet a friend when she was hit by a green Chevrolet pickup truck driven by a 35-year-old man. The driver of the pickup fled the scene after causing the collision. Paramedics arrived and treated the girl before transporting her to a local hospital for non-life-threatening injuries. The driver later came forward and turned himself in to police on charges relating to the accident.
