Oregon Car Accidents

Fatal crashes happen on our state’s roadways on a daily basis. Some of the most serious and deadly accidents involve two vehicles colliding head-on with one another. A head-on car accident usually takes place at a high speed. The driver that is hit normally has little time to make any evasive maneuvers or to take any action to avoid the accident. The cause of a head-on collision must be carefully investigated. In many cases, these types of accidents occur because of speed, impairment or distraction.

If you have lost a loved one to a crash on Oregon’s roadways, you should be aware of your legal rights. As the family member of a fatal accident victim, you could be entitled to file a wrongful death claim against the other driver. These claims are regularly filed but they should only be handled by an attorney who is experienced in this area due to the fact that they are complex and involve detailed legal issues. During this time, your focus should properly be on your healing and your family.
