Car Accidents in Oregon
Traffic accidents in Oregon can be a very serious and devastating experience for crash victims and their families. About 20,000 people are injured every year in crashes that happen in our state. According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, about half of all crashes will result in injuries to the victim. Each accident must be carefully investigated by authorities in order to determine the cause. However, many innocent victims are injured in crashes due to the negligence of other motorists.
The cause of each car accident is varied. Speeding, reckless driving, impairment, and failing to follow the traffic laws are some of the most common reasons for accidents to occur. If you or a loved one have been affected by a crash, you should speak with an attorney right away. Your attorney can help advise you of your legal rights and what steps you can take at this time to help your case and maximize your recovery. If you try to handle the case on your own, you can find that the outcome is worse than you had anticipated.
