Injury Accidents in Oregon

According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, there are about 50,000 reported crashes on our state’s roadways each year. As a result of these accidents, approximately 30,000 injuries are also reported. These are the official statistics, however, the true number of crashes is likely quite higher. Not all accidents and injuries are reported which means that there may be thousands of accidents and injury accidents that do not make it into the statistics collected by the state.

These numbers tell us that motorists can be at high risk of being involved in an Oregon car accident. Crashes and injury accidents occur every day throughout our state. These accidents must be closely investigated in order to determine how they occurred. It is quite common for a negligent driver to set off a chain of events that leaves innocent victims suffering from injuries.

If you have been affected by a car accident in Oregon, you should know your legal rights. Our state’s law provide for victims to receive compensation for their injuries when the other driver was at least partially at fault for the accident.
