Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Portland, Oregon
If you’re injured in a car accident, it can be devastating. Car accidents happen every year in Oregon and resulted in over 31,000 injuries total in 2020 alone, according to the Oregon Department of Transportation. Many of these accident victims suffer injuries that are completely out of their control. Reckless and irresponsible drivers cause accidents each year – something any driver could be a part of.
Whenever you’re involved in an accident, the potential for injury is significant. The more vehicles involved in the accident, the more the risk of injuries increases. While an injury alone can be painful and disabling, it can also be very expensive. Missing work can have a negative financial impact and lead to undue stress on the victim and his or her family.
Multiple factors can lead to dangerous accidents. Speeding, being reckless behind the wheel, drunk driving, and distracted driving–to name just a few–are all common causes of these dangerous mishaps. Even if you’re found partly liable, you can still be eligible for compensation to help pay for your medical bills and lost wages.
Oregon is a very accommodative state for personal injury claims. If you’re involved in a car accident, make sure you know your rights and entitlements – especially where compensation is concerned. Have you been injured in an accident that wasn’t all your fault or that you were only partially responsible for? If so, then you might be able to make a compensation claim. An experienced Oregon accident lawyer can provide advice and support on what your next steps should be.
