Hit-and-Run Crashes in Oregon

If you’ve had an accident and sustained injuries, you’re not alone. In the state of Oregon alone, 31,000 people are injured in accidents every year. A number of these accidents are hit-and-runs which often involve reckless and irresponsible driving.

All car accidents are dangerous, but hit-and-runs, in particular, can be very damaging since nothing is protecting a victim from the impact of a vehicle. Injuries sustained in hit-and-run accidents can be quite painful and disabling, they might also end up being very expensive. Being critically injured can keep somebody out of work for quite some time, which can burden families.

Many factors contribute to hit-and-run crashes, the most common being speeding, reckless driving, drunk driving, and distracted driving. Even if you are found partially at fault for an accident, you can still be entitled to financial compensation.

Oregon is one of the most accommodating states when it comes to dealing with personal injury claims. If you’ve been injured in an accident that is not your fault, it may be worth applying for a claim. Seeking an experienced Oregon Personal Injury lawyer to provide advice and guidance on what to do next will help you navigate what is often a difficult process.

It is helpful to keep in mind that you can still go about your life and responsibilities after an auto accident. Our team of professionals understands how difficult it can be for victims to get back on a solid financial grounding after an accident. It is important to focus on healing in the wake of an auto accident and not how you are going to pay for medical bills.
