Multi-Vehicle Crashes in Portland, Oregon

Portland, OR — Pedestrian Struck by Car at SW 13/Columbia

Being involved in an auto accident and sustaining injuries can be one of the most traumatic and distressing moments in a person’s life. Every year in Oregon, more than 31,000 people sustain injuries from car accidents.

A significant amount of accident victims in Oregon will suffer injuries as a result of conditions that are completely out of their control. What’s more, is that many of these accidents are caused by the reckless and irresponsible actions of the other driver.

Multi-Vehicle crashes often prove to be more fatal than single-vehicle crashes. T-bone crashes and head-on collisions are among some of the most dangerous collisions that can occur. Injuries sustained in these crashes, even if they are not fatal, can end up more expensive than just the cost of medical bills. Losing wages due to missing out on work can also put undue financial stress on individuals and their families.

Crashes involving only one car can still cause serious and fatal injuries, but once there are two or more vehicles involved, the likelihood of injury increases. T-bone crashes and head-on collisions are two of the most fatal and serious injury-causing types of multi-vehicle accidents.

Injuries that are incurred by victims in multi-vehicle accidents often prove to be serious. Even if an injury sustained isn’t immediately fatal, it can certainly contribute to an untimely death later on in one’s life.

Not only are injuries painful, debilitating, and potentially disabling, but they can also be very costly. Not only will one be faced with the cost of their medical bills, but they also stand to miss out on work wages due to appointments and loss of mobility.

This sudden and unexpected onslaught of expenses, coupled with dealing with the general trauma of an auto accident can put a lot of undue pressure on victims and their families. This is why it is important to work with a Portland Oregon Auto Accident Lawyer who can take care of all the stressful deliberation with insurance companies.
