Oregon Car Accidents

Car accidents in Oregon take place on a daily basis. While not every crash will result in injuries, many of them do. According to statistics maintained by the Oregon Department of Transportation, there are approximately 27,000 injury accidents reported each year. Many of these crashes involve injuries to innocent victims who are hurt due to the actions of a negligent driver.

Under Oregon law, victims have the right to bring a personal injury claim when they are hurt in an accident that was at least partially the fault of the other driver. Each case must be carefully analyzed based on the facts and circumstances. If you were hurt in an Oregon car accident, you should speak with an attorney to understand your legal rights and options as soon as possible. In no event should you attempt to deal with the insurance company on your own. Doing so can jeopardize your case. At worst, you could end up waiving all of your claims by signing a settlement agreement at an early stage of the process.
