Car accidents in Oregon

We all get into vehicles each day to get to and from our destinations. When we are traveling, we do not expect to be involved in an accident. The reality, however, is that crashes take place across Oregon’s roadways hundreds of times each day. While a crash does not always result in injuries, in many cases it will. According to the Oregon Department of Transportation, more than 7,000 motorists were injured in car accidents that took place across our state in 2020. Many of these injuries were serious or severe in nature.

Some common injuries sustained in an Oregon car accident include broken bones, soft tissue damage, head injuries, spinal cord trauma, neck injuries, and more. These types of injuries can result in the need for hospitalization as well as extensive and costly medical treatment. You may also face a long road to recovery as you move forward after the accident.

During this time, it is normal to wonder if you will be able to enjoy the life that you once had following the accident. Fortunately, there is help available and you could be entitled to receive compensation for your injuries. You should always speak with a skilled and experienced attorney in order to ensure that your case is properly valued and that it is handled in an appropriate manner. Many injured victims make the mistake of trying to handle their own case which results in a settlement that undervalues the extent of their injuries and provides inadequate compensation.
