Woodburn, OR (May 24, 2022) – A man from Aurora died in a two-car accident that took place on Friday, May 20th. The collision occurred on Highway 219 near the intersection with French Prairie Road.
The Oregon State Police responded to the crash scene. According to authorities, a 79-year-old man was driving a Ford Ranger pickup northbound on French Prairie when he came to the intersection. The man’s truck collided head-on with a Mack CMV driven by a 26-year-old Salem man. The 79-year-old man suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead as a result of the crash. The 26-year-old man was not hurt.
The Marion County Sheriff’s Office, along with the St. Paul Fire Department and Gervais Police all assisted at the scene. There is no additional information available.
The crash is still under investigation at this time. There is no word on whether any charges will be filed.
