Oregon Car Accidents
The Oregon Department of Transportation maintains statistics on the number of car accidents that take place across our state every year. In 2021, approximately 30,000 total crashes were reported and nearly 8,000 victims suffered injuries as a result of these crashes. Many of the injuries sustained by accident victims were serious in nature and required medical treatment or hospitalization.
Following a crash, police must conduct a careful investigation of the accident in order to determine how it occurred and who is at fault. In cases where an innocent victim is injured by the negligence of another driver, the crash victim could be entitled to compensation. This includes payment for pain and suffering, lost wages, medical bills and potentially more. The value of a case can sometimes be difficult to determine.
